Bikram Wisodm : The Federer Remorse

Yes, I am a Federer fan. Yes, I adore the way he has carried himself all these years.
Now that we've established these facts, we can move ahead knowing this will be an absolutely unbiased and a very objective post.

Did you watch the 2014 Wimbledon Gentlemen's Final? If you did, you witnessed an absolute masterclass in Tennis from two great champions of the game. The end though, as a friend put it later, was sudden. Up until that point in the fifth, I'd absolutely have put my money of Federer making it an unprecedented eighth. Though in all honesty, it would be a precedented eighth Wimbledon crown.

The way Roger carried himself on court though, got me thinking back to the year he had lost to Nadal and cried on court right through the presentation. This wasn't the same man though. This was a calm, composed Roger who seemed at peace with losing to a man who had lost 4 of the last 5 finals he had been in and was filled with self doubt. And like Novak put it, Roger seemed to have let him win it.

I know, conspiracy theory.

But that gets us to the theory of 'The Federer remorse'. It's when you look back on your former self and cannot believe the kind of imbecile you'd been. Just like Roger. He was so much in control of himself (and the course of the match too?) that he was completely at peace with losing to Novak. Right through the match, Fed seemed more concerned about not making the ball-boys and ball-girls run for the ball than he was about trying to run down the Djokovic serve. He looked a complete Champion to me. Something Novak might be a couple of years down the line. Maybe then, Novak might look back on himself and be filled with the 'Oh what an imbecile I was!' emotion. Or in other words, The Federer Remorse!

The Radio Theory

Windfalls please us more than our accomplishments. Take the simple example of the radio. If a song you love is playing, it makes your day. Yet, in this age, we could be listening to whatever we want with the massive cloud system we carry with us on our phones, if we'd care to search for them. A song accidentally playing on the radio though,  puts us on Cloud 9. What a lazy generation we are!

The Money-Time Equilibrium

I'd like to reach a point when time(T) and money(M) are irrelevant.
As T α 1/M, this can only happen when T=0 or M=0 or T=∞ or M=∞.

I'd prefer M=∞ please.

The Beauty and The Beast Theory

The Beauty and The Beast Theory

Have you ever looked at a couple and invariably wondered 'How the heck did someone like that end up with someone like that?'

Well, here's the explanation.

1. Beautiful people are narcissists...they cannot stand the thought of being out done by someone, especially not their better halves!

2. They love being the center of attention...and they know pretty well, that 'that' thing isn't really gonna get any luckier so they're assured of undivided attention at all times.

3. They're human...and obviously easily jealous. It's so much easier to be with someone who is so out of depth with them that they couldn't evoke any jealousy...a little pity maybe!

And a host of other deviant reasons.

But eventually, these are the happiest of couples...the beast cant take eyes off the beauty...I mean, if you can get as lucky as that and yet keep it simple, who needs to be beautiful, right?

The Independence of Moments and Eternity Theorem

What is the past? Nothing more than the moment you just spent thinking about it.
What is the future? An eternity that lies somewhere in the distance from where you are right now.

So here's the deal. How can a moment be held responsible for the fate of an eternity? Not logical is it?
So life must roll on in anticipation of the eternity to come rather than in remorse or regret or even over-zealous celebration of a moment that has long passed by, right?

And there you have it, 'The Independence of Moments and Eternity Theorem!'

Funnily enough, by virtue of it's own argument, for this theorem to be validated, it should be lost in a moment too!

Bikram's Twisted Dictionary

Devote - To choose to forego all thought processes that would enable the mind to vote on any subject in favour of accepting someone else's thoughts and beliefs!

Hostile - The behavior of the host towards his guests!

The "Why your dreams don't let you wake up" Theory

If you wanna wake up early and you have set an alarm, like me, I'm sure a lot of you too have trouble rising with the alarm. I blame it on our dreams.
Inevitably, the mind does dream rather prolifically in the morning. So if you're in the middle of a good dream, you lounge around the bed a little longer hoping to see out the rest of it. On the contrary, if you're having a bad dream, you wanna lounge around longer because you figure, now that I'm awake, I might as well fix this dream up with a happy ending.
Sadly, on both counts, we end up losing to the time-bound realities of societal life...
~Sigh~
Whoever you are that wants me to wake up early in the morning, know this, I'm not late because I am tardy, I'm late early in the mornings because of the sub-conscious nature of my dreams!
And if you have no trouble waking up in the morning, that's just sad. Largely because it means you don't dream enough...and as a recent research report by some fancy western university suggests, the most intelligent people are the ones that dream the most!

(Of course, this also implies that I'm one of the most intelligent people on the planet since I seem to indulge in plenty of day-dreaming in addition to all the regular dreaming at night!)

Judgemental...but relatively speaking!

Here's the theorem:

"Whatever you do, is good or bad, in my books, only in reference to what I do..."

And deny it all you like, we all have the same tendency...and as much as I hate doing it, I do end up in a world of relativity. Is it right or wrong? Well, for the rest of the world, like they say, there are no rights or wrongs, just shades of grey that seem darker to some and brighter to others.
But to me, everything is either right or wrong. And there is nothing in between. But sometimes, I lead myself to believe there is greyness to justify the dark. And I have made my mistakes. And I still continue making my mistakes. And it is irritating to find myself faltering sometimes. But don't get me wrong. I love falling down. And I enjoy mustering up the strength it takes to rise back up again.

And it happens when I stop asking myself those awkward questions and I ignore those unwanted answers.

Like right now...and it helps me realise I'm human.

Do you know what the trouble with humanity is? We spend too much time and energy trying to solve problems...and then instead of solving one problem, we create another...and then we try solving that one... We're too darned intelligent for our own good...yet, ironically, we continue believing we're more intelligent than we actually are! And then we're stuck in an infinite loop!

The Immortality Theory

What is being immortal? I mean think about it realistically and with practical relativity.
To a mortal being, immortal is anything that existed before they did and lasts even after they're gone. With this frame of reference in mind, if someone was born one day before me and died one day after, for me, that person would've been immortal...
Simple isn't it?

The Chase Theory

All men are ambitious and would like to achieve something substantial in life...but here's the thing, the only reason men want anything is the pursuit of women. Eventually, there are 3 outcomes-
1.They get what they were chasing but they were so busy chasing, they lost the woman...
2.They get the woman but they were so busy with the woman they lost what they were chasing...
3.They either get both or neither but lose themselves...
Sad I know but a cent percent true!
