Good Morning?

Tell me, why do people prefer staying awake to sleeping? If it were upto me, I'd spend as little time awake as I possibly could. For all who have been impressed by the cult of "The Matrix," tell me, would you choose the blue pill? Why would you choose to wake up and smell reality when what you have is awesome? Imagine being able to control your own destiny, do what you want, where you want to and how you want to do it! Why trade in all that for a reality where nothing is certain or under your control?
Dreams are where you control all that you have, want or need! No heartbreaks, no heartaches, no disappointments, no bitter realities...everything the way it should be. So begs the question, why wake up every morning? And more so, how and why, "GOOD MORNING!?!"

Perhaps in dreams nothing can go wrong, unlike really which is hard & in-your-face, hence always wish for a "Good morning"

how can u say that dreams are certain and under one's control? If u really have control over ur dreams then i must say uve got some kindaa superpower cause dreams, generally, are an outcome of one's subconscious mind. I have always had weird, spooky and weird dreams. So i'd rather prefer to stay awake.
Also, one would want to stay awake to turn 'the dream' into reality.(sounds too preachy ;))

@Pesto:> precisely...when we wish someone "Good Morning!" it's more of a statement that says, "Oh goly! Will you look at that! Thankfully the sun has risen!" it isnt like you are wishing someone "All the best for the rest of the harshness held in the day!"

@Anirudhdha:> I read somewhere not so long ago, that your dreams are mere manifestations of all unfulfilled desires and ambitions. Now lets look at things this way, when you are about to fall asleep, arent you thinking of all those things that you wish you had or are wishing were true? things go perfectly, the way you want them to! though, if your dreams are creepy and scary, what bro, is held in that mind of yours that drives you to think of such things?
:P
again, just to mess you up, should reality be subject to your dreams, or should your dreams be subject to reality?
